Contact Details Of All General Hospitals In Lagos

These General hospitals are differentiated from primary health care centres which are operated by the local governments in the State, and whose primary duty is to ease the burden on secondary and tertiary health facilities in Lagos and provide preventive healthcare services to the citizenry in the State. General hospitals will refer patients to tertiary health facilities such as Teaching Hospitals and Federal Medical Centres if the severity of a patient’s condition requires further examination.

In Nigeria today, Lagos State ranks among the States in the “high end” class as far as health matters are concerned. This is due to the high number and variety of general and specialist hospitals that can be found in the State. According to statistics obtained from the Healthcare Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency, HEFAMAA, there are 26 registered General Hospitals, 256 public healthcare centres, 2,886 private hospitals or specialist clinics and laboratories or diagnostic centres as well as about 160 trado-medical centres all within Lagos State.

This comes as no surprise seeing that from the statistics given, it is very evident that healthcare is prioritized by the government of Lagos State, because as the saying goes, health is wealth, the more healthy people are, the happier they become. In this post, we shall focus on the General Hospitals in Lagos and where they are located in order to be easily accessed should the need arise.

The days when the health care systems in the State were left neglected is fast becoming a thing of the past and General hospitals in Lagos are becoming increasingly reliable in delivering quality healthcare and it can only get better. Within some of these secondary healthcare facilities lie their maternal and child care centres which take very good care of pregnant women until they give birth safely. Some mother and child care centres are however, located separately from their parent general hospitals.

There is no phone number for Epe General Hospital. I want to confirm if they have an ENT doctor and when one can see him.

  2. Peter says:

I can’t believe a government hospital Orile Age General Hospital to be precise would schedule a 4year old child for a surgery dated 29/3/23 and couldn’t perform the surgery as schedule and as I speak at 12:24pm today Wednesday 2023. Making demands of irrelevances from the patient what they ought to have requested for a day prior to the surgery getting prepared for the task ahead. What a general hospital, what a shame. I therefore want the corncern authority to look into this, this is an absurd way to work, it is called gross inefficiency and lazy way to work.
