FINAL WORDS
Please be informed that the above listed estimated entry level salaries for Nigerian companies and agencies currently in this year 2024 are for professional and permanent staff, and not for contract staff or ETOPs, except of course, they have been stated; and some of the salaries are given before and after tax deductions. The entry level salaries are stated for monthly pay and it does not capture the annual renumeration of the category of workers featured in this article. From the above listed salaries, you will notice that oil companies pay a starting salary of at least ₦500,000 while servicing companies pay at least ₦200,000 per month to their new intakes at entry level.
Most multinational oil companies pay their workers according to global standards due to the fact that their employees can be transfered anywhere in the world, at any given point in time and this is why they pay the highest salaries. Bank workers do not earn as much as oil workers but their staff are still being well compensated. The figures captured for bank workers reflect the estimated earnings of their professional staff, and not their contract staff who do not make as much money as their permanent counterparts. Contract staff at banks earn way lesser than their fully staffed colleagues. Many companies paying low entry level salaries to their fresh graduates make up for this by adding really attractive allowances and bonuses to their pay package.
