• 2014 – FCMB (UK) Limited obtained a wholesale banking license to operate in the United Kingdom. FCMB also launches inaugural domestic bond – 7 year ₦26bn Tier 2 bond to bolster its capital adequacy ratio and for general banking purposes
• 2013 – In June 2013, FCMB assumed a holding structure in accordance with the regulations set by the Central bank of Nigeria. The group restructuring which ensued, resulted in FCMB Group Plc becoming the holding company for FCMB Ltd and its subsidiaries.
• 2012 – FCMB completed the acquisition of FinBank Plc in February 2012 and subsequently merged with FinBank in October 2012.
• 2007 – FCMB acquires Cooperative Development Bank, Midas Bank and Nigerian American Bank (for Nigerian subsidiary of Bank Boston).
