All of the salary structures in Nigeria today which the Federal Government has put in place to pay its numerous workers that number several thousands of people in the country are designed in a way that if there are two individuals who are on the same rank or grade level, and are working at different government companies or agencies, each of them will be paid different monthly salaries; reason being that the salary structure that applies to one federal government institution may vary from what is obtainable in the other.
The National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC) is directly in charge of overseeing all salary structures in the government sector.
