Runway modelling is very particular about people of a certain height, weight and body physique, so not everyone is qualified to do this job. Most designers generally use runway models to showcase their designs at fashion shows.


This 2023, commercial models are paid salaries between the range of ₦100,000 – ₦5 million or more depending on the nature of the contract and the company they are signed to. Commercial modelling is one of the highest paying in the industry. It involves signing models on a contract as brand ambassadors to promote the goods and services of a company and paying them handsomely in return. In commercial modelling, body size doesn’t really matter, all that matters is the pulling power of the model and the power of their influence.


Fashion models are currently paid between ₦20,000 – ₦150,000 or more this 2024. These are models that appear on the pages of magazines, on fashion blogs and websites, and other related platforms. Fashion models are required to have specific body and height just as runway models.


Glamour models are currently paid between ₦5,000 – ₦60,000 per event and this depends on the recruiter and the nature of the event. This category of models are basically used as ushers at events. They are paid to look attractive and presentable to guests at an event as their primary function is to usher in top guests at some of the top events organized in the country.

Models who fall in this category are mostly young secondary school leavers and university undergraduates. Glamour models also pose for photographs and appear in magazines.


Fitness models currently earn salaries between ₦15,000 – ₦90,000 per shoot. They are not your regular models. They are physically fit men and ladies hired to model products of some sports companies, whether sports wears, fitness/gym equipment or even energy drinks.
