The Laz Otti Memorial Library (LOML) is fully owned and operated by Babcock University (BU), one of the most expensive universities in Nigeria currently. This school is a private university that is affiliated to the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church of Nigeria, and their library is currently rated as one of the best and most beautiful in the country. It was donated by Alex Otti, former Managing Director of the now defunct Diamond Bank, on behalf of the commercial institution which is now part of Access Bank, in honour of his late father, Pastor Lazarus Weze Otti.

The Laz Otti Memorial Library (LOML) contains approximately 67,519 volumes spread through all the disciplines. The Technical Services Department which is the backbone of the entire library and located on the ground floor is ever busy with the processing of newly acquired information materials before they are sent to the shelves. It also lists new arrivals and displays them briefly to sensitise users of their availability. The exterior of the library is very aesthetically appealing, likewise the interior, and the the library hall is very well segmented and fully air-conditioned.


The Covenant University Library is officially known as the Centre for Learning Resources (CLR), and it currently ranks among the best and most beautiful university libraries in Nigeria. This library is a masterpiece of an edifice which is a glass building comprising of three storeys and having a seating capacity of 3,500, making it one of the largest university libraries not just in Nigeria but in Africa at large. It is located on the Premises of Covenant University itself in Ota, Ogun State and the library is fully computerized to meet 21st century standards.


The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Library is officially known as the Nimbe Adedipe Library. It is so named in honour of the first Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Nurudeen Olorunnimbe Adedipe. This university library, which happens to be one of the most beautiful libraries in the country, provides a user centered information environment that supports inspirational teaching, exemplary research, meaningful service, and life long learning to the local and global university community. It is an ultramodern library that accommodates about 1000 users at a time. Presently, the Nimbe Adebipe University library has a total collection of 75,622 books and the building is an architectural masterpiece.


The University of Ilorin library also ranks among the most beautiful architectural masterpieces as far as university library buildings are concerned in Nigeria. This library formally commenced operations on October 25, 1976 and it provides a wide range of services. The University of Ilorin library is equipped with fully functional Internet facilities that aid undergraduate students study really well during the course of their stay in the school. The computer services at this library are also used by postgraduate students and staff preparing for long essays, dissertations and research.


The Obafemi Awolowo University University Library is also known as the Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library. This library is located right in the premises of one of the oldest universities in Nigeria and it has been at its permanent site since October 1989. This beautiful library is a four storey building that spans a total land area of 42,000 Square feet. It was built to accommodate 250,000 volumes of books and it can accommodate about 800 readers at the same time.


The University of Nigeria, Nsukka Library is officially known as the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library. It was named after the First President of Nigeria Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe who also happened to be the university’s first Chancellor. This magnificent edifice of a University library is the second oldest University Library in Nigeria. It was opened in October 1960 occupying temporarily two tiny rooms in the Faculty of Education building. The University Library started from scratch without inheriting a previously organized collection.

It was largely nurtured during its early years by generous donations, notably from Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, whose donations total well over 12,000 books, parts of journals and pamphlets on many subjects. Today, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Library has about 735,157 volumes of books and about 99,760 bound volumes of journals, it also has special collection documents published by various governments of Nigeria and others from the Biafran and African Collections. The university is blessed with a growing collection of publications by The United Nations, Food and Agricultural Organization (UNFAO), and The United Nations Educational Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).


The University of Calabar Library is an electronic library (e-library) that is located at the centre of the school premises. It is a very beautiful building that has a serene atmosphere which is conducive for studying. The University Library essentially acquires, organizes, preserves and provides access to variety of information resources (print and non-print) to support both staff and students in teaching, learning and research. The University Library provides access to electronic resources at the e-Library, popularly referred to as UNICAL e-Library; besides, access to electronic resources at the e-library can be done remotely by staff and students within and outside the university depending on the types of e-resources (databases). The basic aim of the University Library therefore is to promote scholarship in teaching, learning and research in line with the emerging digital environment.
