These National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Permanent Orientation Camps are preparatory grounds where Corps members are trained both physically and intellectually for three weeks to prepare them for the responsibilities that lie ahead in their service year. These camps are military controlled.
The purpose of the orientation camp is to foster interactions and social bonding among youths of different origins and cultures in order to appreciate the backgrounds of one another and of their host communities.
