Alimosho is the largest local government in Nigeria with a population of 1,319,571 residents according to the 2006 census. It is also the most populous local government in Nigeria. The majority of the people of Alimosho are Egbados, and Yoruba is a commonly spoken language there. Islam and Christianity are the two primary religions in this local government.
ABUJA MUNICIPAL AREA COUNCIL (POPULATION: 776,298)
According to the 2006 census, there were 776,298 people living in the Abuja Municipal Area Council. Since then, there have apparently been more reports.
